ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW LONDON BLOOMSBURY

Situated in the heart of London, The University of Law London Bloomsbury is our largest centre. The atmosphere is lively and sociable, reflecting the diverse student community both at the centre and of London itself.

Bloomsbury is just a short distance from the City, the Law Courts and the Inns of Court and the centre is based close to all the leading law firms and chambers. Many of the local legal professionals are regular speakers to our student body at Bloomsbury, providing you with great networking opportunities. The four-storey legal library and spacious IT suites offer all the resources you need to succeed.

OUTSIDE THE UNIVERSITY

London is a city that never sleeps. Bloomsbury is one of London’s most vibrant areas with West End nightlife and shopping, Covent Garden and Soho right on the doorstep. London food is truly global and you’ll easily find a pub, bar or coffee shop to suit your mood. Theatre, cinema, galleries, music, museums, and festivals – the nation’s capital has it all.

Transport links are unrivalled too. The London Underground (the Tube), train and bus links connect every corner of the city. Larger train stations, like Paddington, Waterloo and King’s Cross St Pancras, are gateways to the rest of the UK. There are also five airports all easily reached on the Tube or by train.

A VARIED SPORTS AND SOCIAL LIFE

There are a variety of different sports clubs, social clubs and societies you can join at our London Bloomsbury centre. You’ll have the opportunity to join the Student Activities Committee and develop a full and varied programme which could include any activity from welcome parties, live music events, quiz nights, balls and parties, theatre visits to a chess league… There should be something to suit everyone and the emphasis is on developing activities to suit the students.

Current activities range from the intellectually stimulating, fun, or sheer physical and include:

• Football

• Netball

• Squash

• Balls and parties

• Arbitration Society

• Debating

• Learning a new language

• Music Society

• University Challenge

Each year we hold annual events such as Freshers’ Week and a Student Ball. At the end of your course there will be a Graduation Ceremony which enables students to celebrate their hard work and achievements with friends, family and tutors.

STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Student Association works in partnership with the university to influence, support and help you forge new relationships, whilst offering an essential service. It also helps to organise a whole array of clubs and societies for students, ranging from football and netball, through to yoga or trampolining, film & TV societies, debating clubs and human rights groups.
