LLM - Maritime Law (Greece)
Overview
Our LLM in Maritime Law gives you a detailed understanding of maritime law allowing you to build on your existing knowledge and enhance your career prospects. Delivered in the exceptional Laskaridou Library of Piraeus, Athens, Greece the course is taught in English in weekend blocks by British academics, legal practitioners and specialist lecturers from around the world.
This course gives you the unique opportunity to study in Greece the same maritime modules as students studying the course in London.
Students of the LLM in Maritime Law (Greece) attend classes in Piraeus, but are also invited to attend London classes, access The City Law School's facilities and take part in UK-based activities. Students will graduate alongside UK-based LLM students.
Entry requirements
Applicants normally hold an upper second class Honours degree or the equivalent from an international institution. However, credit is given for relevant work experience, for example, in the shipping industry in roles such as ship’s officer, ship broker and claims handler.
English requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English, the following qualifications are also required:
- IELTS: 7.0 or above
- TOEFL (internet-based): 107 or above.
